Leptin

Leptin is a hormone that is produced by adipose tissue in the body. It is mainly involved in the regulation of food intake and energy expenditure. It helps to maintain a healthy weight by stimulating the feeling of fullness and suppressing hunger. Additionally, it has been linked to regulating fertility, inflammation, and other metabolic functions. Leptin plays an important role in the body's metabolism and, as such, its secretion is closely linked to diet and body composition. It can also be used as a biomarker for obesity and other metabolic disorders.
