Rhinovirus

Rhinovirus is a type of virus that causes the common cold. It is the most common virus to cause infection in humans and is responsible for close to half of all colds. It is highly contagious and can be spread through contact with an infected person, such as through coughing and sneezing, or through contact with infected surfaces or objects. Common symptoms of a rhinovirus infection include runny and stuffy nose, sneezing, headache, and sore throat. In most cases, a rhinovirus infection can be treated with self-care measures and over-the-counter medications. However, more severe cases may need to be treated with antibiotics. It is important to take steps to prevent the spread of rhinovirus, such as washing hands often, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and disinfecting surfaces and objects.
