Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a technique that uses the magnetic properties of certain nuclei to detect and measure their environment. It is one of the most powerful and versatile tools for the identification of molecules and their structures. NMR is used for a variety of applications in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, as well as in academic research. NMR can be used to determine the structure and dynamics of molecules, measure metabolic pathways, detect and measure drug concentrations in biological fluids, analyze materials, and detect molecular interactions. NMR is also used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, which are commonly used in medical diagnosis.
