Sequence Analysis
Sequence analysis is a process used to identify, compare and analyze biological sequences such as DNA, RNA and proteins. It is used to gain insight into the structure and function of biological molecules, as well as evolutionary relationships between living organisms. Sequence analysis helps scientists discover mutations, relationships between genes and proteins, and to develop knowledge of the molecular basis of disease. Sequence analysis can also be used to identify unknown sequences, characterize gene and protein expression, and identify potential drug targets.
