Pyloric Stenosis

Pyloric stenosis is a condition that affects the stomach of infants, leading to a narrowing of the outlet between the stomach and small intestine. This narrowing causes babies to vomit after every meal, and can lead to dehydration and malnourishment. Pyloric stenosis is diagnosed through medical imaging, such as ultrasounds or an upper gastrointestinal series, and can be treated through a surgical procedure which enlarges the opening. Early diagnosis and treatment of pyloric stenosis is essential for the health and wellbeing of the baby.
