Review of Human, Social and intellectual capital in the Covid-19 era

Abstract:

The health and economic crisis caused by the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus and the Covid-19 disease has accelerated the emergence of an informational economy focused on the use of electronic networks. The impact of this scenario on education led to the transition from the traditional classroom to the electronic whiteboard. The objective of the present work was to analyze the relationships between human, social and intellectual capital. A model was established in which the prevalence of human capital formation indicated by data processing in the virtual classroom and self-management of knowledge is appreciated.

Evaluation and Comparision of Total Phenolics, Total Flavonoids and Antioxidant Activity of A. Mexicana Aerial Parts in Different Solvents

Abstract:

The study's goal was to determine the total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant activity of A. mexicana aerial parts. Extracts were prepared using different solvents namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, methanol, and water on basis of increasing polarity using soxhlet appratus. Aqueous extract from the flower contained the highest level of total phenolics, followed by that of the stem and leaves. The flower methanol extract was found to contain the most total flavonoids. With IC50 values of 24.98 g/ml in acetone extract, the stem component demonstrated the most DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) free radical scavenging activity, followed by leaves with IC50 values of 36.29 g/ml in hexane extract and flowers with IC50 values of 38.33 g/ml in acetone extract. FTIR analysis showed that the presence of phenols and flavanoids. In different solvents, the DPPH free radical scavenging activi...

Can Vitamin D Positively Impact Sarcopenia Severity Among Older Adults with Hand Osteoarthritis: A Review of the Evidence

Abstract:

Aim

This review examines the research base concerning hand osteoarthritis and changes in muscle mass and quality known as sarcopenia and the possible use of vitamin-D supplementation for reducing this potentially adverse functionally disabling state.

Methods

Publications detailing a possible link between hand osteoarthritis manifestations and sarcopenia, plus those discussing vitamin D as a possible intervention strategy for minimizing sarcopenia in the older adult were systematically sought and reviewed.

Results

Collectively, data reveal hand osteoarthritis in the older population is common, and is possibly affected by age as wel...

The application of different orientation of orthotropic composite beam

Abstract:

In the present document, the dynamic analysis of isotropic materials applied to the laminated composite beam has been studied to improve the simplification of the homogenization process of heterogeneous composite materials.12

This study is based on the conventional stratified theory of Von Karman's formulation and the kinetic energy of Euler Bernoulli developed through displacement relationships.

The model used in this study to explain the problem of non-linear geometry in the free vibration applied of laminated beam is based on the Hamilton's principle for solving the motion equation and determining the frequency of the reaction of the rolled beam.

The numerical of the symmetric an asymmetric material gives a good idea of the behaviour of the orthotropic materials, and to minimize the problem of many areas used these...

Functional properties of Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) and Pumpkin seed flours and protein isolate

Abstract:

The current study was intended to evaluate the chemical composition, functional properties, of some cucurbits seed. watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), and Pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima), were studied. Proximate analysis gave 17.09% -17.07% protein, 35.55%-39.0% fat,6.00% - 5.5% total ash, 24.9%-2.6% crude fibre, and 10.60% - 28.83% carbohydrate, for Pumpkin and Watermelon seed flour respectively. The seeds are rich in protein, crude fat, and crude fiber. nutritional value in the seed can be recommended on daily allowance, maintenance of good nutritional status and good health. The functional properties of the seed revealed that water and oil absorption capacities for the seed were 3.20 - 5.60 (Ml/g) and 3.93 -3.50 (Ml/g) for Watermelon and Pumpkin seed flour respectively. Foam capacity and bulk density for the seed were 9.67 % -19.0 % and 0.77 (g/ml) -1.5(g/ml). for Pumpkin and Watermelo...

Stemming The Tide Of Hypertension In Women: Optimal Age For Obstetric Debut

Abstract:

Objective

Women have continued to bear a heavy burden of cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality with hypertension as the flagship. This is partly because as the modifiable cardiovascular disease risk factors are falling in rate, gender specific risk factors have persisted. One of them is age at first pregnancy and delivery.

Methods

In order to contribute to this discourse, we secondarily analysed data generated in a previous field study on risk factors for cardiovascular diseases in free living adults in Plateau State, Nigeria. The women were divided into four groups and we looked at blood pressure at the time of study from the perspective of age at first pregnancy.

Reults

It was found that those who had ...

A 5 years old female child recovered from Moyamoya Disease with Unani formulation: A Case Report

Abstract:

Moyamoya disease is a very rare chronic circulatory occlusive disorder of the blood vessels of the brain, in which patients complain of headache, seizure, weakness, and sometimes paralysis. A 5 years old female child with a complaint of headache and seizure was admitted elsewhere and during the treatment, she was diagnosed with Moyamoya disease. Further, she went to AIIMS Patna, where the neurosurgeon advised Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) and after the final diagnosis, they suggest the surgical intervention of the brain. During the search for an alternative treatment, they consulted my center for Unani treatment. We advised a semiliquid Unani polyherbal formulation containing Gule Banafsha (Viola odorata), Ustukhuddoos(Lavandula stoechas), and Nilofer (Nymphaea alba Linn) for three months. After the completion of the trea...

CalliphoraRomantis: Discovery of A New Species in The Field of Forensic Entomology

Abstract:

Over the years, different entomological genera have been found for forensic analysis. Their biological cycles and how they interact with decomposing bodies have become known. But it is when it comes to identifying a species that problems arise. Firstly, to analyses a corpse, there is a minimum of ethical laws, without which the study would be impossible. On the other hand, these species vary according to geographical and climatic zones. Therefore, what is studied in one place will not be the same as what is studied in another, which has different characteristics. In this study we want to present one of the recently found species and how it was found.
