About JNRT
A peer-reviewed, open-access journal of basic, clinical, applied, experimental and translational research in neuroscience and neurology. Accepted articles are published open access with a permanent Crossref DOI.
A home for neuroscience and neurology research
The Journal of Neurological Research and Therapy welcomes basic, clinical, applied, experimental and translational research that advances understanding of the nervous system and neurological disorders, including their prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. Coverage includes molecular, cellular, systems and computational neuroscience; laboratory and animal-model investigations; clinical studies; neuroimaging; neurotechnology; therapeutics; and rehabilitation. Published by Open Access Pub since 2015, the journal gives every accepted article a citable, fully open-access record so findings reach neurologists, researchers and clinical teams without a paywall.
A continuous, openly published record of neuroscience and neurology research.

Editorial standards and publication
Key facts about review, access and charges.
Editorial board. Manuscripts are handled by an international editorial board of subject-expert editors in neuroscience and neurology.
Peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Permanent Crossref DOI on every article: a persistent, citable identifier.
Open access, CC BY. Articles are free to read and reuse, and authors keep copyright.
Editorial screening. Each submission is acknowledged and screened by the editorial office before peer review.
Article processing charge. A single APC of USD 2,100 is payable only after acceptance; withdrawal after submission is subject to the journal's withdrawal policy. There is no fee to submit or to be reviewed.
Independent decisions. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal, and are independent of the article processing charge.
