A single article processing charge of USD 2,100
JNRT charges no submission or review fee. A single article processing charge (APC) of USD 2,100 is invoiced after acceptance and covers peer-review management, production and open-access publication with a permanent Crossref DOI. Manuscripts that are not accepted incur no APC; withdrawal after submission is subject to the journal's withdrawal policy, set out below.

Manuscript withdrawal policy
Authors who need to withdraw a manuscript should follow the policy below.
- Contacting the editorial office. Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere.
- Within 3 days of submission. Manuscripts withdrawn within 3 days of submission are not subject to a withdrawal charge.
- More than 3 days after submission. Manuscripts withdrawn more than 3 days after submission incur a withdrawal charge equal to 30% of the journal's APC. For JNRT, 30% of the APC amounts to USD 630.
- Before submitting elsewhere. Authors must receive official withdrawal confirmation before submitting the manuscript to another journal. Submitting the same manuscript to another journal without an official withdrawal is dual submission, a form of research misconduct under our editorial policies.
- After publication. A published article is permanently open access under CC BY 4.0 and cannot be un-published. Any subsequent concern is handled under our corrections and retractions policy.
