Aims and Scope


The International Journal of Amino Acids (IJAA) is an open access peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scientific research related to amino acids and their applications. IJAA aims to advance the knowledge on the synthesis, metabolism, biochemistry and functions of amino acids. 


The journal contributes to the scientific understanding, development, and uses of amino acids in the broad fields of chemistry, biochemistry, nutrition, toxicology, metabolism, and pharmaceuticals, synthesis and structure, metabolism, biophysical and chemical properties, bioorganic and medicinal chemistry, biotechnology and drug discovery, nutrition, toxicology, and structural biology. 


IJAA  also seeks to publish studies focusing on the application of amino acids in various industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, biotechnology, and nutrition. Moreover, the journal encourages submissions related to the role of amino acids in physiology and disease.


IJAA recognizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaborations in solving complex problems related to amino acids and welcomes submissions from experts in various disciplines including biology, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacy, nutrition, food sciences, toxicology, and related health sciences.
