Management of Arthrofibrosis of the Knee after an Arthroscopic Meniscectomy with Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning Toxin. Case Report.
Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of paralytic shellfish poisoning toxin in a patient with arthrofibrosis of the knee. Arthrofibrosis is a common complication of knee surgery that tends to manifest itself as a limitation of the musculoskeletal ranges. Paralytic shellfish poisoning toxin has been proposed as an alternative treatment for painful musculoskeletal pathologies. Use of paralytic shellfish poisoning toxin in arthroscopic menisectomy. Case report. Three doses of paralytic shellfish poisoning toxin were administered in an intra-articular manner on different days. Functionality, musculoskeletal ranges, pain at rest and pain during motion were evaluated.

Coolifting® CoolCell®, A New Group of Highly Effective Active Ingredients for the Reduction of Cellulite in Women
Abstract:
Cellulite is a very frequent clinical condition that, despite not being serious, constitutes one of the greatest aesthetic concerns of a large number of women. In recent years, some of the technologies that have allowed the development of devices and key tools in aesthetic medicine treatments have been consolidated. The aim of this article is to test the effectiveness of CoolCell®, a new treatment for cellulite that is administered with Coolifting® technology. We included 24 women who received 8 sessions of Coolifting® CoolCell®, one per week. Thermographic measurements were taken and satisfaction questionnaires were completed. Thermographic analysis showed a statistically significant color variation and self-assessment reports revealed that more around 75% of the subjects witnessed great or spectacular changes on their skin.

Successful Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation from A 5/10 Mismatched Unrelated Donor in A Patient with Donor-Specific Anti-HLA Antibodies.
Abstract:
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) from a mismatched unrelated donor, an haploidentical donor or a cord blood unit (CBU) has become a widely aviable approach if patient lacks a matched related or unrelated donor. However, if the patient has anti-HLA antibodies against antigens present in the mismatched donor or CBU (donor-specific antibodies, DSAs) this option should be disregarded due to the high risk of graft failure. Desensitization can be used to reduce levels of DSAs but this technique has limited results. We report the case of a 62-year-old woman with DSAs against two haploidentical familiar donors who failed desensitization of DSAs. Finally she underwent a HSCT from a 5/10 mismatched unrelated donor which has been successful.
Impact of Bronchiectasis on COPD Exacerbations

The presence of bronchiectasis is considered an aggravating factor in COPD patients. In particular, the coexistence of bronchiectasis and COPD was associated with greater frequency and severity of exacerbations. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of bronchiectasis in patients with COPD exacerbation. We retrospectively collected data from 212 patients admitted to the hospital with diagnosis of COPD exacerbation. In order to detect the presence of bronchiectasis, only patients that had received a chest HRCT scan examination were included in the study. We compared clinical and functional data between COPD patients with bronchiectasis and those without bronchiectasis. The prevalence of bronchiectasis was 31,6% in this study. Multidisciplinary Dentistry - Ceramic Laminate Veneers for Orthodontic Finalization - Clinical Case Report

Currently, patients seeking dental treatment are increasingly concerned with the esthetics. Accordingly, the professional must be able to indicate treatment approaches that often include more than one specialty. This concept of integrated dentistry allows achieving excellence in results, which may not be reached one single Dentistry specialty. In addition, the multidisciplinary dentistry enables the solution of cases more conservatively, especially cases where aesthetics is a relevant factor. This study aimed to report a clinical case showing esthetic disharmony of the anterior teeth even after the ending of the orthodontic treatment, causing dissatisfaction for both the patient and the dentist. From a functional point of view, the occlusion was adequate. However, the esthetics prevented a satisfactory outcome. To solve this issue, the case was treated through minimally-invasive ceramic laminates, then reaching the expected result.
