Prepare once, then submit through the journal system
JPMC receives manuscripts through Open Access Pub ManuscriptZone. Before opening the portal, confirm scope fit and assemble the authorship, ethics, reporting, data, funding, and conflict information listed below.
Before starting the submission
A complete submission lets the editorial office assess fit and integrity without avoidable requests for missing information.
- Read the Aims & Scope and confirm that prevention, early detection, risk reduction, population health, preventive care, or prevention policy is central to the manuscript.
- Select the supported article type: original research, systematic review, programme evaluation, or brief report.
- Confirm the author list, order, affiliations, corresponding author, and contribution statement with every author.
- Identify the appropriate reporting guideline and prepare its checklist where required.
- Confirm the published APC of USD 1,800 and the post-acceptance invoicing policy before submission.
Files and declarations
Upload clean, readable files and provide declarations in the submission form even when the information also appears in the manuscript.
| Item | Required information | Typical location |
|---|---|---|
| Main manuscript | Title, abstract, text, references, tables, and figure callouts | Editable manuscript file |
| Title page | Author names, affiliations, corresponding author, ORCID iDs, contributions | Title page or submission fields |
| Figures and supplements | Legible source files, captions, permissions, and supplementary descriptions | Separate uploads when requested |
| Ethics and consent | Approving body, identifier, exemption or waiver, participant consent, publication consent | Methods and declarations |
| Registration and reporting | Trial or protocol identifier and applicable CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, or other checklist | Abstract, methods, and upload |
| Transparency | Data availability, funding, funder role, conflicts, preprint, related work, AI-use disclosure | Declarations and form fields |
Clinical and public-health claims
Conclusions must match the study design and uncertainty. Observational associations should not be presented as causal, and publication must not be described as clinical endorsement.
What happens after submission
No acceptance or turnaround time is guaranteed. The sequence below describes the editorial stages rather than a promised schedule.
Technical and scope check
Files, declarations, journal fit, originality concerns, and basic ethical or methodological requirements are assessed.
Peer review
Suitable manuscripts enter single-blind peer review, with double-blind review available on request, using reviewers selected for relevant expertise.
Revision and decision
Authors respond point by point when revision is invited. Editors make decisions from the manuscript, evidence, reviews, responses, and policies.
After acceptance
The APC is invoiced, production files are prepared, authors review proofs, and the final metadata and licence are checked before publication.
Incomplete, duplicate, unethical, or clearly out-of-scope submissions may be returned or declined without external review. Payment, waiver status, membership, or use of optional services does not affect the editorial decision.
Account, privacy, and support
Use your own account and an address you monitor. Do not send passwords or unpublished sensitive data by ordinary email.
Submission account
Keep contact information current, use a strong unique password, and submit through the official ManuscriptZone domain.
Sensitive material
Remove direct identifiers unless essential and ethically approved. Use secure, access-controlled repositories for restricted research data.
Editorial communication
Respond through the manuscript record when possible so instructions, files, and decisions remain associated with the submission.
Technical help
For an access or upload problem, contact the editorial office and include the manuscript identifier, browser, and a non-sensitive description of the error.
Ready to submit the complete manuscript?
ManuscriptZone is the official submission and tracking system. Opening the portal does not create a submission until the required steps are completed.
