Membership

Membership contributes to the cost of publishing this journal's articles openly, so that every article remains free to read at the point of publication. Decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial or reviewer roles.

Every manuscript is judged on its merits: editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.

Every manuscript follows the same published route, in the order it is received. All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.

Appointments to the editorial board are made on relevant subject expertise, publication record and standing in the field, assessed independently of any membership or financial arrangement.
