Biography:

  • Dr. Khalid Z. Elwakeel, who holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Physical Chemistry, is the associate professor of the environmental chemistry at Port-Said University, Egypt. Currently; Elwakeel works as associate professor at University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has more than fifty research articles published in the international journals as well as four books. 
  • He is an editorial board member and reviewer of some international journals. Elwakeel reviewed more than 400 research article for 90 international journals in the field of environmental research. 
  • In addition to the academic and research experience, Elwakeel has practical experience in drinking water companies (private and governmental), and he worked for four years as an inspector for the drinking water quality and efficiency of sewage treatment in the Egyptian water and wastewater regulatory Agency. 
  • It worth to mention that Dr. Elwakeel is the recipient of (i) Award of the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia for the environmental management in the Islamic world October 2017 (the first prize under category "Best research (ISESCO). (ii) The Egyptian Order of Distinction (first class) from the president of Egypt, for the scientific achievements, (iii) The Egyptian Encouragement Prize in Chemical Sciences (Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt). (iv) The Misr El-Kheir Award for the best publication, 2013 (Egypt). 
  • And (v) the Award of professor, Dr. Faiza Al-Kharafi in the field of basic science, 2010 (Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt).
