Antioxidant-rich Foods

Antioxidant-rich foods are a type of food that contain compounds that can help to protect the body from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress occurs when cell damage is caused by harmful molecules called free radicals. Antioxidants act as scavengers of free radicals and help to reduce their impact on the body. Eating foods that are rich in antioxidants, such as fruit, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, may help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including cancer and heart disease, and may also help to reduce inflammation. Eating a variety of antioxidant-rich foods is an important part of a healthy diet and may also have beneficial effects on overall health.
