Overview
The moose is a large, impressive animal that is found in the northern and eastern parts of North America and Europe. It is the largest member of the deer family and is mainly recognized for its large antlers and bulky body. Moose are herbivores and mainly feed on aquatic plants, leaves, twigs and bark. They are also known to occasionally consume small mammals, insects and fish. Moose are powerful animals whose presence in the wild helps to promote ecological balance and healthy ecosystems. In addition to the crucial role they play in the environment, moose have been used for centuries by humans for their meat, fur, antlers and as livestock. Moose are also popular among hunters and have an important cultural significance in many regions.
