Infertility
Infertility is the inability to naturally conceive a child, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to full-term. It affects around one in seven couples, and is more likely to be experienced by women over the age of 35. It can be caused by a variety of factors including hormonal abnormalities, structural abnormalities, lifestyle choices, and age. Treatment options, such as fertility drugs, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and artificial insemination, are being used to help couples conceive a child when they are unable to do so naturally. With these treatments, and advances in technology, more and more couples are able to have a successful pregnancy.
