Anxiolytics

Anxiolytics are drugs primarily used to treat anxiety disorders, a common mental health condition that affects over 40 million adults in the United States. Anxiolytics work by blocking certain receptors in the brain and calming the central nervous system. This helps to reduce symptoms associated with anxiety, such as racing thoughts, restlessness, and tension. Anxiolytics are often prescribed alongside other treatments such as psychotherapy, which can be useful in managing anxiety disorders and helping people function in their day-to-day lives.
