Weather Forecasting

Weather forecasting is the process of predicting weather conditions over a specific area or timeline. Weather forecasting involves the use of computer models, observations of the atmosphere, and knowledge of past weather patterns to predict future weather conditions. Improved weather forecasting can provide invaluable help in making decisions relating to agriculture, industry, transportation, safety and health. By using historical data and current observations, forecasts help us plan for weather events, such as storms and floods, and to decide when it is safe to carry out activities such as air travel or outdoor recreation. Weather forecasting is an essential tool in order to reduce their exposure to hazardous weather conditions and to increase their preparedness for such events.
