Tornado Climatology

Tornado climatology is the study of the frequency, intensity, and statistics of tornadoes within a certain region. It is important because it helps researchers to better understand and predict tornado activity, leading to improved hurricane and tornado warning systems as well as better preparedness planning. Knowing the statistics of tornadoes in a certain region can also help to inform building codes, developing evacuation plans, and improving public safety.
