Seasons
Seasons describe regularly occurring astronomical and meteorological events in certain locations throughout the year. Seasons occur due to the Earth’s rotational tilt as it orbits the sun, causing the amount of sunlight and temperatures to vary. This causes changes in vegetation and animal behavior, and it affects our daily lives in many ways. For example, winter brings colder temperatures and longer nights, while spring brings warmer temperatures and longer days. The seasonal changes in the environment cause many species of plants and animals to migrate, and they can also influence crop production. Seasons also affect the availability of certain foods, recreational activities, and clothing choices. Knowing when the seasons start and end and understanding the effects that each season has can help us better prepare for the changes and enjoy the seasonal beauty of nature.
