Hydrology
Hydrology is the science of studying water and its movement in the environment. It is important for a variety of disciplines and applications, including water resource management, environmental engineering, urban planning, climate science, geology and ecology. Hydrology can help us understand where and how much water is available, how it is shared and how it is used, as well as the impact of human activities on water systems. This knowledge can be used to develop strategies to reduce water pollution, conserve water resources, and manage floods and droughts. By understanding hydrology, we can also gain a better understanding of the global water cycle and its effect on weather and climate change.
