Climate Policy
Climate policy is the set of measures, laws and regulations adopted by governments and other public authorities to reduce the harmful effects of global climate change. It focuses on reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, that are produced by human activities and are considered major contributors to climate change. Climate policy also considers other human activities that impact the climate and create additional sources of emissions, such as land-use changes and agriculture. By using a variety of tools, such as regulation, financial incentives, and global cooperation, climate policy aims to reduce emissions and slow the rate of climate change. It is a critical component of global efforts to combat climate change and protect the planet for future generations.
