Rainfall is distributed fairly evenly throughout the year. This generally mild climate is one of the main reasons why the British Isles are able to sustain a wide variety of flora and fauna. The British Isles’ weather is also of great significance for the region’s economy, as it has made it possible for traditional industries such as farming and fishing to remain in operation. Additionally, the mildness of the climate has attracted both tourists and businesses.
