Solid Waste Management
Solid Waste Management focuses on ensuring that all of the waste generated by people or businesses is managed in an efficient way, with the aim of reducing negative environmental consequences. It involves recovering resources from the waste stream, such as sorting and reuse, composting and recycling, as well as safe disposal of hazardous materials. Solid Waste Management is important in ensuring that the environment is kept safe, and that valuable materials are not wasted. It also reduces costs associated with disposal and increases efficiency by allowing businesses and households to reduce, reuse and recycle materials. Solid Waste Management is an integral part of sustainable development and will be key to combating climate change.
