Overview

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an important tool used to assess the potential impacts of a proposed project or development on the environment. It is a process that identifies, predicts, and evaluates the potential environmental impacts of the proposed project or development. The goal of EIA is to ensure that any proposed project or development is sustainable and minimizes disruption to the environment. EIA looks into the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the environment that can be affected by the proposed project or development. It also evaluates the economic, social, and cultural impacts that the proposed project or development may have. The results or findings of the EIA are then used to inform decision makers on project approval and the best course of action to take. EIA is used both in the public and private sectors to ensure sustainable development and to protect the environment.
