Clinical Psychology
Clinical Psychology is the application of psychological principles and techniques to the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of mental health problems. It focuses on improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals, couples, families and groups. Clinical Psychologists use evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, in order to help people to recognize, understand, and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Clinical Psychologists aim to help patients to develop new skills to cope with life's challenges and learn healthier ways of thinking and feeling. Clinical Psychology is an important field in the understanding and treating of mental health issues and can improve the quality of life of those who receive the care of a Clinical Psychologist.
