Behavioral Intervention
Behavioral intervention is the use of psychological techniques designed to modify or improve an individual’s behavior. It is based on the principles of behaviorism, an area of psychology that focuses on understanding the causes and effects of behavior. Behavioral interventions can be used to treat a wide range of problems, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, behavior problems, and more. Through tailored exercises and activities, individuals learn how to identify and modify their behaviors to achieve desired goals. When successful, behavioral interventions can lead to improved relationships, a better quality of life, and higher self-esteem.
