Autism

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects a person's behavior and communication. It is characterized by difficulties in social interaction, communication, and restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behavior. Autism can range from mild to severe and can occur in all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups. It is estimated to affect around 1% of the population worldwide. Early diagnosis and intervention is key to helping individuals with autism reach their full potential. Treatment methods include behavioral, educational, and social therapies, as well as medications to treat associated symptoms.
