Computational Intelligence in Tropical Medicine
Computational Intelligence in Tropical Medicine is an emerging interdisciplinary field that leverages computer science, mathematics and artificial intelligence to aid decision-making to improve health outcomes in tropical and infectious diseases. Through advances in technology, Computational Intelligence allows for the integration of data from multiple sources, such as environmental sensors or patient records, to help clinicians make more informed decisions to help prevent, diagnose and treat tropical diseases. Computational Intelligence has the potential to revolutionize diagnosis and treatment of tropical and infectious diseases, and therefore reduce the burden of these diseases on populations in developing countries. This could help reduce mortality and morbidity, as well as improve the quality of life for those living in tropical regions.
