Transgenic Biotechnology

Transgenic biotechnology is a type of biotechnology used to manipulate the genetic material of an organism to introduce new traits. This is usually done by transferring genetic material from one organism to another, which would normally not be able to interbreed. Transgenic biotechnology has wide-ranging applications, including the development of new medical treatments and the production of food with improved nutrition levels. Its potential to modify the genetic makeup of organisms has also raised ethical concerns. Despite this, transgenic biotechnology remains an important tool in modern biotechnology, offering new ways to research and develop innovative products.
