Cytoskeleton

The cytoskeleton is a complex network of proteins that form a scaffold within cells. It is an essential cellular structure that plays an important role in cell shape, movement, organization and intracellular transport. The cytoskeleton helps cells to maintain their structure, move around and communicate with other cells. It also helps regulate many cell processes, including cell division, cell migration, endocytosis, and cytokinesis. The cytoskeleton is important for the proper functioning of the cell, and without it the cell would fail to carry out its vital functions. In addition, the cytoskeleton is important in the regulation of gene expression, cell signalling and development.
