Overview

Hurthle cell Thyroid Cancer is a type of Thyroid Cancer arising from Hurthle cells, which are specialized cells of the thyroid gland. Its incidence is rare, but it can cause significant morbidity and mortality. Hurthle cell Thyroid Cancer is typically more aggressive than other forms of Thyroid Cancer, and is associated with a higher risk of recurrence and metastasis. Treatment typically involves surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy. Early detection and timely treatment are important in order to improve prognosis.
