Digital Image Processing
Digital image processing is the use of computer algorithms to process digital images. It is used in a variety of fields including medical imaging, satellite imaging, facial recognition, and astronomy. Digital image processing involves the manipulation of digital images to address specific objectives. It can be used to enhance or reduce the size or resolution of a digital image, remove or reduce noise and interference, adjust for poor lighting, detect edges and other features, and even to create special effects. Digital image processing can also be used to improve the quality of digital images. By processing images with specialized algorithms, it is possible to convert low resolution images into high resolution ones, as well as make adjustments to contrast, brightness, and color. Ultimately, digital image processing can be used to extract useful information from digital images, thus making it a powerful tool in many fields.
