Overview

Sports Rehabilitation is the process of restoring an athlete to their previous level of performance following an injury or illness. It is a multi-disciplinary approach to care, involving physical, psychological and medical interventions. The aim of Sports Rehabilitation is to reduce pain and inflammation, improve strength, coordination and function, and reduce the risk of re-injury. It is essential in improving the performance of athletes and can be used to facilitate a speedy return to play. Rehabilitation consists of a combination of exercises, stretches, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
