Overview

Exercise plays an important role in maintaining joint health. Regular physical activity can reduce joint pain, improve flexibility, lubricate joints, build muscle, reduce inflammation, and keep the joints functioning well. Exercise can be tailored to the individual, with activities such as walking, swimming, cycling, and weight training being beneficial for joint health. Exercise helps to strengthen the muscles around the joint which can help reduce pain and improve function. Additionally, exercise helps promote bone strength, reduce the risk of developing osteoarthritis, and improve overall mobility and quality of life.
