Acute Liver Failure

Acute Liver Failure, also referred to as Fulminant Liver Failure, is a life-threatening medical condition in which the liver experiences a rapid loss of its functional capacity. This results in a derangement of the liver’s ability to eliminate toxins and metabolize them, leading to an accumulation of metabolic by-products in the bloodstream and organs. Symptoms of Acute Liver Failure include jaundice, spontaneous bleeding, confusion, and coma.
