Abdominal Hysterectomy

An abdominal hysterectomy is a surgical procedure that removes a woman’s uterus and/or ovaries through a large incision in her abdominal wall. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, such as fibroids, endometriosis, or cancer. Its significance lies in eliminating or reducing certain health risks and providing relief from a variety of symptoms. In most cases, an abdominal hysterectomy can improve quality of life and prevent the need for additional medical interventions. The procedure can also be beneficial for women who no longer wish to become pregnant or want to avoid the risks associated with childbirth.
