Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) is a medical condition that occurs when the spinal canal narrows, causing pressure on the nerves in the lower back. This can lead to pain, numbness, tingling, and mobility issues in the lower extremities. LSS is typically seen in older adults, but it can also be caused by a spinal injury or a herniated disc. Treatment for LSS includes physical therapy, medications, and in more extreme cases, surgery. Physical therapy can help to reduce pain and improve mobility, as well as slow the progression of the condition. Surgery can be used to reduce the pressure on the nerves and can lead to significant improvements in symptoms. LSS is a common condition, and treatment is available to help those affected.
