Central Nervous System
The central nervous system (CNS) is the control system of the body and consists of the brain, spinal cord, and a web of nerves that connect the two. It is responsible for processing sensory information, generating movement, and controlling behavior and emotions. The CNS plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis, or balance, of the body. It is responsible for regulating and integrating all bodily functions, allowing the parts of the body to work together as a cohesive unit. It is also involved in memory, learning, and decision-making. It has numerous uses in medicine and healthcare, such as in diagnosing and treating a range of neurological disorders.
