Behavioral Neuroscience

Behavioral neuroscience is the scientific study of how the brain and nervous system influence behavior. This field investigates how neural mechanisms control behavior and how these mechanisms interact with environmental factors to produce behavioral changes. Behavioral neuroscience has application in a variety of fields, such as medicine, psychiatry, neuropsychology, and pharmacology. By understanding how the brain works to control behavior, scientists can identify possible causes of behavioral disorders and create treatments that can improve a patient’s quality of life.
