Sleep Apnea Children
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that affects children, causing them to involuntarily stop breathing while they are asleep. It is a serious condition, often associated with other conditions such as obesity, attention deficit disorder, and asthma. Symptoms of sleep apnea in children include loud snoring, restless sleep, and daytime sleepiness. If left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious health issues such as high blood pressure, depression, and cardiovascular disease. Treatment typically involves lifestyle changes, including healthy eating and physical activity, as well as using a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine to keep their airways open and help them stay asleep. Early diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea in children can help prevent long-term health problems.
