Sarcoma

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that affects connective tissues such as muscles, bones, cartilage and tendons. It is an aggressive form of cancer, meaning that it can spread quickly, and it is often difficult to treat. Sarcoma is particularly dangerous because it can go undetected for a long period of time before the symptoms become evident. Symptoms of sarcoma can include swelling, a lump or a mass, fever, unexplained weight loss and fatigue. Treatment for sarcoma usually involves a combination of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery and targeted therapy. Early detection of sarcoma is important in order to increase the chances of successful treatment.
