Basal Cell Carcinoma
Basal cell carcinoma is a type of non-melanoma skin cancer. It is the most common form of skin cancer, typically appearing as a pearly white or flesh-colored bump on the skin. It most commonly affects the head, neck, and upper body. If left untreated, basal cell carcinoma can cause serious damage to nearby tissue, leading to disfigurement. With early detection and proper treatment, however, this cancer is highly curable and carries a low risk of spreading or becoming life-threatening.
