Tension-Type Headache
Tension-type headaches (TTH) are a common condition experienced by a large number of people. It is characterized by a dull, pressing pain or tightness in the forehead, temples, and/or back of the head that can last anywhere from a few minutes to several days. This type of headache is often associated with stress, depression, or anxiety and can cause a decreased ability to concentrate and affect daily activities. Treatment for TTH typically involves lifestyle modifications such as relaxation techniques, regular exercise, and proper nutrition, as well as medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and muscle relaxants. With the right treatment, TTH can be managed and it is possible to reduce the frequency and severity of the headaches.
