Image Understanding

Image understanding is the application of computer vision that uses the digital images to analyze, interpret and understand the content contained in those images. It is a field of computer science that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify objects, people, text, and other features in digital images. Image understanding can be used for a variety of applications such as image search and retrieval, object recognition, image segmentation, and object detection. It is also used in medical imaging, self-driving cars, facial recognition, and surveillance. By understanding images, it can help people to better reveal the hidden information contained in the image and thus, improve the accuracy and efficiency of decision making.
