Respiratory Failure
Respiratory Failure is a medical condition in which the lungs fail to provide enough oxygen to the body and/or eliminate carbon dioxide waste products. This condition can be acute, where it develops quickly and can be life-threatening within minutes, or chronic, where it develops over time. Its primary causes include pneumonia, broken ribs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and COPD. Respiratory failure can lead to organ damage, as well as long-term health issues. Treatment for respiratory failure involves oxygen therapy, use of a respirator, medications, and lifestyle changes. Early diagnosis and treatment can help patients recover from this condition and prevent serious health consequences.
