Cervical Cancer
Vaccine The cervical cancer vaccine is a revolutionary form of preventative medicine that helps protect against two strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV) that are known to cause almost all cases of cervical cancer. By receiving the vaccine, individuals are able to dramatically reduce their risk of developing cervical cancer, as well as a variety of other HPV-related health problems. The vaccine is approved for use in both boys and girls aged 9-26, and has been found to be highly successful in preventing HPV infection, the development of pre-cancerous cells, and cervical cancer. As such, it is an essential tool in helping to protect individuals against the development of this often fatal condition.
