Genetics and Genomics Genome Projects

Genetics and Genomics Genome Projects are large-scale research initiatives which aim to understand the genetic makeup of organisms. By sequencing and analysing the genomes of various organisms, scientists are able to uncover new insights into the evolution, development and functions of the organism. Through these projects, researchers are able to explore the genetic causes of diseases and develop treatments tailored to the individual, as well as uncover the genetic basis of traits such as height, intelligence, and personality. By discovering new genetic knowledge, Genome Projects are helping to improve the health and wellbeing of not only humans, but animals and plants too.
