Agricultural Biodiversity
Agricultural biodiversity refers to the diversity of plants, animals, and micro-organisms that are used in food and agriculture. It is an essential component of our food security as it provides us with a range of food, fodder, fuel, and other raw materials. Additionally, agricultural biodiversity supplies us with valuable ecosystem services such as soil fertility, pest control, and pollination. It also plays a critical role in increasing the resilience of agricultural production and helps farmers to cope with climate change.
