Biomacromolecules

Biomacromolecules are large molecules found in living organisms. They include proteins, nucleic acids, polysaccharides, and lipids. Their significance lies in their ability to store and transfer energy, regulate cellular processes, and serve as structural components of tissues. Biomacromolecules are important to the functioning of virtually all living organisms and are used in a variety of applications, from medicine and biotechnology to nutrition and agriculture.
